This being my very first blog post, I figured I'd start with the biggest challenge I'm facing right now - PACKING MY ENTIRE HOUSE AND MOVING ACROSS THE U.S.
Ok, that was a little dramatic. I wrote it in all caps. But so what - it's a BIG DEAL.
Have you ever moved? I have never met a single person who has said that they "like" packing and moving. I've heard people say they like being in a new house! But never the packing and moving process. If you like it, leave a comment below and let a sister know! I will say that I like the unpacking process, but there's a lot to do before that part comes.
I currently live in Sacramento, CA with my husband and 2 babies (Tori, 2 yrs old and Evan, 1 yr old). I have lived here my whole life. My whole family lives here (with the exception of some family that lives in the LA area). My husband and I recently decided that we are relocating our family to the Memphis, TN area to be closer to his side of the family. I'm honestly really excited about it! In the 5 1/2 years we've been married, we've never once lived in the same area as his family. The kids will grow up with their cousins and I'm so excited about that!
Ok, so with moving comes the packing-up-your-whole-house dilemma. Cue Pinterest. And Google. And Amazon. I was pleasantly surprised at some tips I found and so I thought I'd compile a list and pictures of what I bought, what worked and what hasn't worked so far.
I'm still in the early phase of this packing process, hence the "Episode 1" tag in the title. I will try to keep updating y'all on this journey and hopefully it'll help me relieve some stress in the meantime :D
I bought these labels from Amazon and I LOVE them. They are color coded labels for each room in your house! So if you hire movers or have friends helping you move, they will know exactly where each box goes and there won't be any confusion.
We all know confusion is the LAST thing we need when we're trying to move.
